About us
A community for women who feel most alive outdoors.
Whether you're an experienced naturalist or simply someone who finds peace in wild places, Her Wild Life — Colorado is your invitation to explore the natural world alongside other women who get it.
We are a women-only community rooted in curiosity, connection, and a deep love of wildlife and wild places. Our outings span the incredible diversity of Colorado. No single species, no single habitat. Just nature, in all her beauty.
What to expect:
Outings at parks, refuges, open spaces, and wild areas across Colorado and occasionally beyond. All experiences are designed to be welcoming at every level, whether you've been birding for decades or you're just learning to use binoculars for the first time.
Why women-only?
Because there's something that happens when women gather in nature without distraction. This is a space where you can ask any question, move at your own pace, and simply be.
This group welcomes all who identify as women and who have a love of nature.

Summer Hike: Meyers Homestead Trail near Boulder
Walker Ranch, Meyers Homestead Trailhead, Flagstaff Road, about 7 miles W of town, Boulder, CO, USJoin us for a relaxed summer morning in the mountains as we explore the beautiful Meyers Homestead Trail near Boulder. At just over 7,500 feet, it's a great way to escape the heat while enjoying meadows, forests, wildflowers, and mountain views.
We'll hike at a comfortable pace, stopping often to look for birds, wildflowers, and whatever else catches our attention. The trail is 2.5 miles one way, but we'll decide as a group how far to go based on everyone's interests and what we're seeing along the way. Bears, moose, and even mountain lions inhabit this area, though sightings are uncommon. We'll keep our eyes open!
