Drinks & New Beginnings: Girls Who Boss Farewell
Details
Girls Who Boss is closing its chapter, but something better is on its way!
This event is a moment to honour the women who built Girls Who Boss, everyone who helped keep it going, and all the incredible women who attended and made this community come alive, before introducing what comes next ๐
If this is your first event, here's a little backstory before we get into the event details :)
I'm Tam, and I've been hosting Girls Who Boss events for the past 9 months. The group had already been running for over a year when I had the opportunity to take it over. I loved continuing its spirit, but the name and concept never fully resonated with me. So over the past few months, I started listening: to the women who showed up, to what they were looking for, and to what was missing. That's how Her Collective Space was born.
So what does this mean for you?
This Meetup group will continue, it's simply being rebranded to Her Collective Space on the 10th of April, a day before the event. From that date, you'll be able to read all about the new concept through the updated group description, Instagram, and a new community app that makes connecting even easier.
Same warmth, same driven and empowering women.
The ambition and strength that define this community aren't going anywhere, just more events, more connections, and more of what actually matters!
Event Details:
๐ธ Happy Hour: 5:15โ7pm
We have happy hour locked in for the first two hours of the evening and trust me, you will not find cocktails at these prices anywhere else in the city. We'll kick off at 5:15pm and I know it's an unusual time, but the bar opens at 5pm and this gives me a little time to get everything set up ๐
The vibe early on is relaxed and intimate, quiet enough for real conversation.
Live music kicks in at 9pm, so if you want to stay on and let the night unfold, you've got the best of both worlds.
๐ Finding Us
The entrance can look a little deceiving, the doors may seem locked, but head into the building and look for the door right next to the Curtains Jazz Club sign. Give your eyes a moment to adjust to the darkness, and then you're in for something special.
I'll be waiting at the very back of the bar. Can't spot me? Ask any staff member and they'll point you my way. If you arrive a little later and the group already looks deep in conversation, don't hesitate, just pull up a chair. Everyone here is warm, open, and genuinely happy you came.
โจ First Time?
Many of the women who come along attend solo and for most of us, there was a first time once too. Our events are casual, welcoming, and open to all women: creatives, entrepreneurs, those navigating careers, and those still figuring it all out. Age, background, industry, none of that matters here. You'll find yourself among good people ๐ฉท
๐ Dress Code
No strict rules, but the venue leans a little fancy, so consider this your excuse to finally wear that outfit you've been saving for the right occasion ๐
๐ On the Night
A lot of women have requested icebreakers, so for the very first time we're introducing Human Bingo! I'll explain how it works on the day :)
Any questions before the 11th? Reach out to me anytime. Can't wait to see you there ๐ฉท
