In the first quarter of 2023, Mickie Chandra was meeting with Robert Brandau and together they realized that a group that encouraged women to SPEAK UP and SPEAK OUT about their experience with domestic abuse would be the first step in helping women to heal.
Fear keeps women from speaking up. Thus, Heroines Not Victims was created.

Tonight's talk will be slightly different. While our speaker will refer to domestic abuse, other issues created more havoc in her life. She will address those topics somewhat graphically, talk about how she ended up addressing them, and how currently she is healing.
Sometimes people will try to gaslight us into believing that "this is all our fault." We hope when that happens you will recognize that.
Tonight one lady will explain that it was her fault. There has been no gaslighting.
The Christian component to our team will be evident.
