Speakers:
• Tania Allard (https://twitter.com/ixek, https://www.bitsandchips.me) is a Research Software Engineer at the University of Sheffield. Tania works in a number of projects across disciplines, however, her main focus is complex analysis workflows, scalable data science, and reproducibility and replicability in scientific computation. She is passionate about mentoring, open source, and its community and is involved in a number of initiatives aimed to build more diverse and inclusive communities.
• Rosie Higman (https://twitter.com/RosieHLib) is a Research Data Librarian at the University of Manchester, working to help researchers manage and share their data more effectively. Whilst this is a long way from the traditional image of a librarian working with dusty books, Rosie enjoys the challenge of supporting the wide range of data researchers across the University are creating and analysing. She’s particularly interested in encouraging data sharing and open research practices.
• Linda Humphries (https://twitter.com/moominlounge) has been the Chief of Staff in the Co-op's Digital team (https://digitalblog.coop.co.uk/) since 2016. She was previously a senior technology adviser at the Government Digital Service (https://gds.blog.gov.uk/), where she put in place standards and policies to help government systems share data and work together. She was also responsible for international engagement on technology policy. Linda is currently a director of Open Data Manchester Community Interest Company (http://www.opendatamanchester.org.uk/). She is also a member of the 360Giving Stewardship Committee (http://www.threesixtygiving.org/governance-of-the-360giving-standard/), which maintains an open data standard to support effective decision-making in the charitable giving sector.
