Meet Amazing Data Women & Interviewing Technique Workshop

This group is for women who work with and love data. Our goal is to bring together women who work in data or who would like work in data - to support one another, share experiences and talk data - big or small! Whether you’re a student just embarking on a career or a seasoned data professional, this group is for you. We want to connect and inspire amazing data women with diverse expertise and experience.

At this event, we’ll have a talk from one of our amazing women in data, and for those who are interested - an Interview Techniques Masterclass conducted by Bernadette Clarke of Evolution Recruitment Solutions! Join us for pizza, drinks, and to meet other women who are passionate about data!

Speaker: Lindsay Pellow (https://twitter.com/lins_pell) is a data leader with nearly 20 years experience in analytics and data management in the retail and financial services industries. After starting work as an Operational Research at Littlewoods she switched industries to financial services and HSBC where she progressed to being a senior analytics manager before returning to retail and the Co-op. As Head of Member Data and Insight Lindsay leads a team of data scientists who help the Co-op understand how its members interact with its core businesses of Food, Funeralcare, Legal Services, Electrical and Insurance. As passionate about people development as she is data Lindsay is a strong advocate of equality, particularly relating but not limited to gender.

Interviewing Technique Workshop: Currently interviewing or want to improve your chances in future interviews?

Representatives from Evolution – technology focused recruitment consultants (https://www.evolutionjobs.com/uk/) will host an interactive workshop to help you improve your confidence throughout the interview process. From planning and preparation before the interview process starts, to how to handle nerves, from Competency Based Interview questions through to what questions to ask at the close of an interview, we will be walking you through the interview process and how you can present the best version of you.

With take-home tips and mini coaching exercises, not to mention the support of the Evolution team, we will aim to build confidence through improving your knowledge and providing you with hints and tips.

Please bring your CV along to the session, also if you have some real life examples of challenges you have faced during the interview process it would be great if you would share.

For anyone who does not wish to participate in the Interview Technique workshop, there will be plenty of time and space to continue networking over refreshments.
