This group is for women who work with and love data. Our goal is to bring together women who work in data or who would like work in data - to support one another, share experiences and talk data - big or small! Whether you’re a student just embarking on a career or a seasoned data professional, this group is for you. We want to connect and inspire amazing data women with diverse expertise and experience.
At this event, we’ll have lightning talks around the theme of Diversity & Inclusion in data/digital/STEM from amazing women working in this space, so come along, ask questions and meet other women who love data!
Agenda:
• 18:00-18:30 Networking with pizza & drinks
• 18:30-20:00 Lightning talks and Q&A
• 20:00- 20:30 Networking & wrap-up

Speakers:
• Jessica Winters is a digital media practitioner who has been coding since she was 8-years-old. She has worked in e-commerce, gaming, web design and app development on digital media projects ranging from an augmented reality celebration of Mexican art to a promotional app for a British horror movie in which you throw toilet paper at zombies. A keen photographer and composer, she has taken part in over 30 game jams, created music for podcasts, and works in a wide variety of creative fields. • Annie Mbako, Programme Director, The Heroworx Institute: A super-connector with a passion for embracing and embedding diversity in organisations fuelled by her upbringing in multicultural communities. In the 10 years of her career in Investment Operations and Client Services, Annie was awarded with numerous accolades for leading company-wide initiatives on Diversity and Inclusion. • Amy Lynch, Head of Diversity & Inclusion, ThoughtWorks (UK): Amy has been working with technology teams for over a decade and currently heads up diversity & inclusion (D&I) for ThoughtWorks, a global software consultancy. A curious and adaptable leader, Amy advocates passionately for social justice and remains committed to amplifying those who often go unheard and underserved. She is part of BIMA’s D&I council, has been included on Northern Power Women's 2019 Future List and champions a more equitable future for all.
