You don't need to be calm to start meditating. You don't need to be Buddhist. You just need to be curious.

This six-week course teaches you meditation from the ground up — and pairs it with some of the most practical, liberating ideas from Buddhist tradition. Ideas about why happiness keeps slipping through our fingers, how our habits trap us, and how a small shift in awareness can change everything.

It's warm, it's direct, and it works.

Each evening includes:

  • Guided meditation practice — two different techniques, both powerful
  • Buddhist teachings that are immediately useful in everyday life
  • Small group discussion to go deeper
  • Tea, biscuits, and good company
  • Drop-in friendly — no need to attend every week.

When: Tuesdays 7:15–9:30 PM (arrive 7:00–7:15)
Where: The Millbridge Rooms, Hertford (opposite the theatre)
