Collaborating for Accessibility: How Design and Engineering Teams Can Drive Accessibility Together
*This event is co-organized with Data Viz DC.
Event Description
Accessibility is everybody's job. But when aspects of support exist in gray areas between design and engineering teams, essential details can often fall through the cracks. In this presentation, we examine how our teams can collaborate on accessibility more effectively through understanding common assistive technology interactions, enhanced design specifications, and building quick prototypes. The goal is to demonstrate how we can ingrain accessibility more deeply into how we build technology and foster an improved dynamic within our organization.
