Join us for a great movie at an amazing outdoor location!

This evening awesome M-Club welcomes the first Hey Taipei's Movie Monday. The venue is located along the river and has great views of the 101 and the airplanes departing at Songshan. The club hosts parties on the weekend but offer a relaxing atmosphere on weekdays. Perfect for a film!

With nature in the background we will enjoy the beautiful drama 'Critical Thinking' (高校棋蹟), released in 2020 and directed by award winning John Leguizamo. Based on true events it tells the warmhearted and inspiring story of an underprivileged group of students that make it to winning the US Chess Championships. The movie is in English and we will screen it with Mandarin subtitles.

Everyone is welcome at M-club at 7PM. We will start the film at 7.30 and finish around 9.45PM (one short break halfway). After the film you can either stay for another chat or drink with the other attendees, or head home directly.

Entrance is free! We do ask everyone to buy a minimum of one drink. The club has food too - for their menu, check their website (link below).

• The venue is outdoors, but covered in case of rain so not to worry. Do wear some mosquito repellent.

M Club is easy to reach per MRT (Jiannan Rd Station), several bus lines and by YouBike. You can also park nearby if you're driving. Check Google maps for your personal travel plan. If you like walking I recommend walking there from Yuanshan, which is a nice path along the river and will take you about 50 minutes. Please use the event group chat to organize walking together if you're keen.

The riverside park is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city once in a while. Get some exercise and meet new people along the way!

We meet at 7PM at Xinzhuang MRT station, exit 1. Here we will walk to the riverside, cross the bridge and follow the green riverside path there all the way up and around Banqiao. We will then cross the river again towards Wanhua, and continue the path towards Longshan Temple. This is approx 11 km. It's a walk that's shouldn't be too intense, but make sure you can walk for about 3 hours in decent pace. This will include two breaks.

Friday evening; so for those who want to, we can have a drink near Longshan or in that area after the walk. But as usual, no obligations.

We meet at 7PM at Hongshulin MRT station. From here we will walk along the cycling path towards the beautiful mangroves, and follow it further along the river and under the trees. We will cross busy Guandu Bridge, and then continue down, past Shizituo view point and Shuhong Ecological Park, and finish at Luzhou MRT station.

The walk is about 9km and will take us about 2 hours. Last time we took a little d-tour near Luzhou because of construction - so it could become 2,5h. So although it's not intense walking, but make sure you can walk for about 2.5 hours in warm weather.

We meet at 7PM at Haishan MRT, exit 3. Here we will walk through the city to the riverside. When at the river we will start walking North along the river, through less explored Fuzhou Art Park and Hehua Park. Then we will cross Crescent Bridge and continue onwards to Xianse Temple station. This is approx. 9km and will take us about 2 hours.

People that want can grab food or a drink near Xianse MRT or go elsewhere for a Saturday night drink. Up to personal preferences and no obligations.
