Long walk: Tamsui Loop Danjing Bridge
Details
Let's check out the new bridge! We meet at 4pm at Tamsui MRT. Exit 1. It's usually busy there, so let's meet in front of Mr. Donut - which you will see right after going through the exit gates.
We will walk along the river towards the ferry, and take it across to Bali. Once we arrive in Bali we can finally enjoy a walk in the unusual direction - through Bali park, along the beach and towards the cute Wazihwei community and nature reserve where many people go to cycle and watch the birds. It's small but feels like the countryside!
Here, we will make our way onto the recently opened Danjiang Bridge. The bridge is about a kilometer long and has a spacious lane for walking and enjoying this cool structure and beautiful views of the river and ocean.
The whole walk should be around 12 km and take us approx 3 hours.
Once we get to the other side we will follow the river back towards Tamsui. Near the Old Street we can grab some food and a drink for those interested, before jumping back on the red line.
