Hiking Qixingshan 七星山- Yangmingshan

Come hike with us! Sishir will lead us to the top of Yangmingshan National park!

We will meet at Jiantan MRT station, exit 1 at 8.30am. Here we line up to take the bus at 8.43. Be early as weekends are busy on these buses! If you are too late to queue in time for the bus you can choose to take a taxi to Yangmingshan visitor center - but this is up to you. :)

At the Yangmingshan visitor center there are bathrooms but no shops - so make sure you have everything you need for the hike already. From here we start our hike up to Qixing peak taking miaopu trail. Most of the trail is well paved - but it's very steep so be ready to sweat. Once we reach the top we see beautiful grass, bamboo and if the weather allows - a great view!

On the way back down we will end our hike near Lengshuikeng. If you like you can visit the hotsprings there, continue exploring Qingtaingang, or take the bus back down to Jiantan. We can decide in the moment and people can choose as they please.

Bring 2-3 L water, plenty of food/snacks, insect repellent, sunblock and rain protection. Wear appropriate clothes and shoes for hiking in (unpredictable and sometimes extreme) Taiwan weather.

*A voluntary 50ntd contribution for attending is appreciated (to cover MeetUp expenses).
*This is a hike, not a walk! Make sure you're trained enough to keep up with the group and always let someone know if you decide to leave early.
*Be friendly, willing to meet new people and make everyone feel welcome.
*Be flexible if the exact route or anything changes in case of unforeseen circumstances. Go with the flow. :)
