Hi High Park Hikers
On Saturday, August 22nd, we are taking on one of Ontario’s true classics: The 99 Steps.
This signature hike is a trekker's dream—featuring winding trails, rolling hills, lush summer canopy, and a stair set guaranteed to initiate some serious gluteus maximus action. (Though rest assured, it’s still more forgiving than the Three Sisters).
Fun Fact: The vertical drop from the top of the 99 Steps to the bottom is actually greater than the drop over Niagara Falls! (Sadly, barrel rides down the stairs are strictly prohibited).
Because of the steep step spacing, this odyssey is best suited for creatures with legs over 12 inches long—whether you walk on two legs or four. (I just squeaked past the height requirement myself).
