Ahoy Set Sail for the Eastern Front (No Crampons Needed) 🌊🥾
Details
Ahoy High Park Hikers,
All hands-on deck. On Saturday, September 12th, we are setting our compasses east and heading straight for the water.
Don't worry—despite being on the "Eastern Front," there are no WWII battlefields or rowdy, drunken sailors awaiting us. Just a fantastic bunch of trail friends, breezy lake views, and zero geopolitical drama.
If you loved our Beaches trek and those of you that came did, you’re going to adore this one. It’s an easy, mostly paved stroll along the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail, but we’ll compensate for the smooth terrain by tacking on some extra kilometers to keep your legs honest. 12 km for sure.
The Logistics:
- 📍 Meeting Spot: East Point Park that’s in Scarborough.
- ⏰ Time: 9:45 AM sharp. 9:30 for those who need that extra safety margin to be on time, if you know what I mean.
- 🅿️ Parking: If the parking lot gate is locked, just park on the street like a true local.
- 🎒 Gear: Dress for the weather and pack enough provisions (snacks & hydration) for a good cruise.
P.S. Good news: You can safely leave your ice cleats in the closet this week. If we need icers on September 12th, we have much bigger problems.
