Hello High Parkers! 🥾🦇
It’s spelunking time! No, not Dunkin’ Donuts—we’re heading into the deep, dark crevice caves at Duncan Escarpment Provincial Park. Given that it’s Saturday, October 31st, a trek through dark crevices feels deliciously apropos for Halloween. 🎃
Now, no excuses: you’ve had a whole month to clear your schedule for this one, so if you miss it, that’s on you.
As we explore new and exciting trails, we’re venturing a bit further out. This one is a 2-hour drive from my place in Toronto, located in the Blue Mountain area near Ravenna—a bit longer, but 100% doable in a day.

🚗 The Logistics & Fuel Strategy

  • 7:45 AM: Departure from my area (for anyone carpooling/following).
  • 9:45 AM: Meet at the trailhead.
  • 11 KM level 2
  • The Priority Stops: We may need an emergency pitstop for cappuccinos and croissants on the way. Naturally, post-hike refueling is also mandatory—and by refueling, I mean our bodies and souls, not the cars. ☕🥐

🥧 Post-Hike Treat Stop
After tackling the caves, a trip to the Ravenna Country Market is non-negotiable. They have incredible stuff—trust me, I’ve spent many summers in the area and consider myself a seasoned expert on their inventory.

What did the High Park Hikers say when they slipped into the cave?
👉 "You’ve grotto be kidding me!" 🕳️
Are you in? Let me know so we can coordinate rides.
