Hey hikers!

We are planning a regional hike to Chicot State Park on Saturday November 15th and total distance is stated to be around 8.4 miles out and back. If you look in Alltrails this is the South to North Landing trail and it is classified as moderate in terms of difficulty. As an estimate we think it will take 3-4 hours.
We did the southern version of this trail a couple years ago and it was really pretty with trails leading through the cypresses including several extended walkways over the water through the trees and this route looks beautiful also.
It is up to you whether you choose to come over to Ville Platte the Friday night before (camp, hotel, etc...) or simply drive the morning of but we hope to see you there. We are really hoping to catch some cool weather being mid-November but hey this is Louisiana so closer to time we will check back to fine tune our plans. Also All trails does not have the exact coordinates available but will drop these details also closer to time.

Thank you!

David
