Hey Hikers,

We're going back to Richardson’s Creek in Homochitto and the trail is ~8.6 miles per AllTrails. It has a good bit of up and down and most of the time it is in the trees but occasionally crossing some open ground. We have hiked this one twice and it is an enjoyable hike and plan on 5-6 hours on the trail taking breaks into account.
Homochitto is showing approximately 120 miles from New Orleans and last time some of us spent the night either in a nearby hotel or camped in the park. If you prefer to make the drive up the morning before the hike that works also.
Starting time will be at 10:00 am with our normally 15 minute grace period. Unfortunately the Meetup site is not finding the trail so please refer to the trail on the Alltrails app and that should guide you to the location.

Also, as always, everyone is responsible for their own safety, precautions, etc...just to tick that box.

Closer to time we will be back to confirm weather conditions, etc...and hope a few of you will be up to a full day out in the woods!
