Day Trip to Abbeville South Carolina

Let's get together for a day trip to Abbeville, SC. Below is a suggested itinerary for the trip. If anyone is interested in carpooling, we can meet at the Ingles in Mauldin at 8 am. I will be driving a green Subaru Forester.

Morning: History and Coffee9:30 AM – Start your morning with coffee and a breakfast biscuit at Main Street Coffee right by the downtown square.10:15 AM – Walk over to Secession Hill located at 107 Secession Ave. Explore the scenic, historic green space where thousands gathered in 1860 to launch South Carolina's secession from the Union.11:15 AM – Stroll the brick-lined sidewalks of the Abbeville Court Square, checking out local antique shops and unique boutiques.Afternoon: Lunch and Landmarks12:30 PM – Grab lunch at a local downtown cafe or restaurant near the square.1:30 PM – Visit the majestic Burt-Stark Mansion at 400 North Main Street (open Saturdays 1:30 PM–4:30 PM) where Jefferson Davis held his final war council.3:00 PM – Admire the grand architecture of the Abbeville Opera House and check out the historic Trinity Episcopal Church nearby.
