About us
Welcome to Hike Putnam and Beyond.
This group consists of people who enjoy hiking at a relaxed pace. Join us for some wonderful outdoor activities with some nice people. We will explore trails in the area, mostly in Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Fairfield, Litchfield, and Duchess Counties, as well as other locations from time to time. Non hiking events may also be scheduled. While you should have a reasonable level of fitness, hiking experience is not necessary. Most of our hikes will be relaxed but moderate in pace, distance & terrain. There may be some more challenging trails included too. I will provide details and links for each hike - please use the information provided to decide if the hike is right for your needs and level of fitness. HVSF with picnic at The Garrison: Musical - Les Misérables
The Garrison, 2015 US-9, Garrison, NY, USIf you wish to join us, please buy a ticket; then post a comment indicating where you will be sitting and sign up - I will then move you from the waitlist.
Over the last few years, we have enjoyed several fantastic H.V.S.F - plays/musicals along with a pre-performance group picnic. This season will be the first in the magnificent new open-air theater, with fabulous views from both the picnic lawns and theater seats. Join us!
On Friday, Aug 14th please join us for:
Les Misérables by ALAIN BOUBLIL and CLAUDE-MICHEL SCHÖNBERG directed by JENN THOMPSON
As the audience and 3-sided main stage sits under the theater roof the performance will occur rain or shine, and only the actors might get wet - the show must go on!

- 5.30 pm - picnic
- 7.30 pm - performance starts.
We will meet at 5.30 pm for our potluck picnic. Head up the path towards the theater from the main parking lot to the lawn in front of the theater. The picnic is subject to cancellation, depending on the weather.
