Join us for a mountaineering trip to Mt. Kulshan, one of the most iconic glaciated peaks in the Cascades at 10,781 ft. This is a peer-led trip — climbers must be self-sufficient and prepared for glacier travel and crevasse rescue.
Distance: ~ 11–13 miles round trip
Elevation Gain: ~ 7,000–7,300 feet
Day 1 – Friday, May 23
- Arrive at Heliotrope Ridge Trailhead between 5:00–7:00 PM.
- Camp near the trailhead — rest and prepare gear.
Day 2 – Saturday, May 24
- Start Hiking 2:00 AM: Ascend Coleman Glacier → Colfax saddle → Deming Glacier → summit.
- Return to trailhead.
Required Gear:
- mountaineering boots
- crampons
- harness
- helmet
- ice axe
- rope system
- food & fuel for 2 nights / 3 days
- personal camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, pad)
- 10 essentials (warm layers, headlamp, sunglasses, sunscreen, gloves)
Group size is limited. Please RSVP if you’re confident and prepared.
We’ll monitor avalanche, weather, and snow conditions leading up to the climb and adjust plans if needed.
