Stockyards and Lambton: agricultural past and bucolic present (8 km)

Details
This hike crosses two neighbourhoods of historic agricultural importance. The Stockyards was a huge cattle and meatpacking area and is now an outdoor shopping mall. Lambton used to have mills and a small village that grew around them, but now we're left with a small museum and magnificent greenery at James Gardens.
Good Vietnamese food can be found at the start of hike. End the hike with a hidden gem of a seafood restaurant and steakhouse. Reservations required at a companion event or you're unlikely to get a seat.
Come early and check out international groceries at the sprawling Nations supermarket.
