Evening Hike along Ann & Roy Butler Hike & Bike Trail (South Side)
Details
Back by popular demand!!
During the summer since it is hot, we will keep to our classic, shaded routes that are easy to walk during the summer. This time we will be going back to the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail around Towne Lake.
We’ll meet at the south side of the MoPac Pedestrian Bridge this time (PLEASE NOTE: this is different than our meet up spot last time!!) and head east along the south shore toward I-35, then loop back the same way.
The full out-and-back route is about 5 miles total, but will probably need to turn back early since we aren't quite yet in those summer evening daylight hours. We will keep things flexible depending on group pace, energy, and daylight. If needed, we’ll turn around early to make sure everyone gets back comfortably before dark.
This is a flat, beginner-friendly route at a casual, social pace. Expect good conversation, skyline views, and a relaxed evening outside.
