Sunday morning Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park trail hiking!

For this hike, we’ll be exploring the trails at Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park in North Austin. This park has a large network of trails that weave in and out of Walnut Creek, with a mix of shaded paths, wooded areas, creek crossings, and natural terrain.

We’ll meet at the Walnut Creek Hiking Trails Trailhead and start hiking at 8:30 AM. Instead of following one strict route, we’ll wander through the trail system, explore different paths, and enjoy getting a little lost in the woods for a few hours before making our way back.

We’ll plan to return to the trailhead sometime around 10:30 to 11:00 AM, depending on the group’s pace, the weather, and how much exploring we decide to do.

This will be a relaxed group hike, but please come prepared for uneven terrain, dirt trails, possible muddy spots, and creek crossings depending on recent rain.
