Shoal Creek Trail Earlier Weeknight Hike
Details
Time for another Hike with Maddy ATX adventure! This hike we will start a little earlier at 4:30PM to make sure we can get a good hike in. Last light on this day is projected to be around 6PM, so please bring a headlamp or flashlight because it may get dark on us this time!
On this hike, we will be exploring a scenic stretch of the Shoal Creek Trail, starting at the parking lot just north of 24th Street. We will walk for about an hour south, and then turn around and walk back. It will get dark around 6PM, so be prepared to walk the last 30 minutes or so in the dark. Nighttime hiking adventure!
This route offers a relaxed, mostly shaded experience as we follow Shoal Creek through a mix of natural areas and urban green space. The trail is primarily flat and accessible, with a combination of paved paths and some more natural sections along the creek. This hike is a perfect option if you’re looking for a low-pressure way to get outside after work, move your body, and connect with others without anything too strenuous.
