Up, Up, Up and summit! This is NOT an easy hike but the cool views are worth it!

***Meet at Safeway at 3275 W. Colorado Ave and carpoolabout 30 mins to the trailhead (near Wines of Colorado restaurant)

This is a challenging 8.5 miles out and back trail with about 2800 ft elevation gain that features lovely rocks, a small creek and extraordinary views!

It’s up the Heizer, then down Hurricane Canyon for a little bit, and then a little bit off trail up to that big rock formation that you see on the left when you’re approaching the Pikes Peak Highway from Colorado Springs called Barney's Dome.

***WEATHER: ?? degrees and mostly sunny

*** Trail conditions: good. Maybe snow or mud! SPIKES recommended!

***NEEDED: Water, jacket, gloves, hat, boots, SPIKES, sunscreen, sunglasses, and snacks/drinks to share.
