Muddy March is always a hike on a paved route to protect the trails. This year, we will be hiking the paved trails in Maplewood State Park. Springtime is a chance to see the early signs of new growth on the forest floor. We might see green shoots breaking through the leaf-covered ground, or animals fresh out of hibernation. Springtime is a good time for us to come out of cold storage and enjoy the fresh scents of the woods.

We will start at the Sugar Shack parking lot. You will need a State Park sticker or day pass to enter the park at the main North entrance.

After the hike, join us for more stories and good food at The Taqueria in Pelican Rapids.
