It’s FRIDAY 🎉 Maybe your job lets you out early cause it summer on a Friday, maybe you’re playing hookie, or maybe you’re retired. Either way we hope to see you:

Join us at Island Beach State Park, a hidden gem 💎 and maybe the most beautiful beach in the tri-state region. It’s the only beach in New Jersey in which a fire is permitted. 🔥. I will bring a portable BBQ if you want to grill something. 🍖 You should pack a small cooler with enough food and beverages for a full day on the sand, along with a chair.

Bring bug spray and lotion!

We will stay after dark for a nighttime fire party. Maybe
I’ll bring fireworks.

Park in either lot A7 or A8. Lot A7 is easier if spots are available. At 3pm parking starts to open up. Walk up the boardwalk on A7 and bear left when approaching the sand. We will be in that vicinity.

Parking SUV’s on sand is only permitted with a special permit.

Dogs are permitted 🐕 but please announce whether you will bring one and that it not be trouble with other dogs or people.

If youve never been to Island beach state park, you should go at least once. It’s a unique beach. 🏖️ 🔥 🐕 🚙

The park charges $5-10 per car to enter, but sometimes they don’t charge.

It is assumed that all who attend are prepared for the activity and are aware of the risks associated with the activity and will hold no one in the Meetup Group responsible for personal mishaps.
Alcohol is not permitted at island beach state park. While the park closes at 8pm, gates have not been closed in the past and the group has left at 11pm.
