Heavenly Hills @ Highlands & Hartshorne, apx 25 miles Bike Ride

A challenging ride that will generously reward with exercise, socialization & breathtaking views. This ride is for road confident experienced cyclists with suitable bike in good condition. Terrain will be about 90% paved, 5% fine gravel, 5% gravel. A hybrid or gravel bike is best. 30+mm wide tires are recommended.
We will stop to take in the views, for pics and for hydration/snack breaks and at hill tops and intersections to allow all to catch up.
This ride will be listed with Central Jersey Bike Club. Participants are encouraged to also register at CJBC. It's FREE!

- 1/4 mile walk w/bike thru trail to Twin Light lighthouses
- Gravel & paved roads to gorgeous Hartshorne mansion
- Scenic & hilly ride along the Navesink River.
- Mount Mitchel Overlook & 911 Memorial - Highest elevation along US east coast w/stunning views of Raritan Bay, Sandy Hook & NYC skyline.
- Scenic and hilly Bayside Drive!
- FOOD to celebrate the journey. Several great eateries to choose from.
Must Haves:
- Bike in good condition,
- Helmet,
- Front and rear lights are recommended
- Sufficient hydration liquid (1+ L recommended) & snack. There will be places to refill along the way.
- Appropriate clothing,
- Sun tan lotion recommended
- Good attitude and a smile
