74 mile Scenic Monmouth Bike Ride

Ride Information:

• Distance: apx 74 miles
• Elevation: Occasional and relatively mild 1,500 - 2,000 ft
• Terrain: Apx 1/3 interior roadway, 1/3 paved trail w/ short section of pea gravel
• Recommended Bike: Road or Hybrid
• Speed: 12-14+ mph ave when moving. We will stop for breaks for hydration, scenery, photography, eating and other bodily functions.
• Experience level: This ride is for riders that have good road riding comfort and experience and are able to go the distance.

Must Haves:

• Bike in good condition,
• Helmet,
• Front and rear lights are recommended
• Sufficient hydration liquid (1.5+ L recommended). There will be places to refill along the way.
• Appropriate clothing,
• Sun tan lotion
• Good attitude and a smile

74 Mile Monmouth County Bike Ride Description:

• Meet at Scholer Park, Union Bach.
• Ride thru Central Jersey's Monmouth County
• Through local suburban communities including the Edgar Felix Trail,
• Along the coast from Manesquan through the Jersey Highlands,
• The entire Henry Hudson Trail,
• The Manesquan Resevoir,
• Across the Sandy Hook Bridge,
• Lunch along the way at a place of our choosing,
