Blue moon at Sandy Hook

An easy walk about 4 miles around the Fort Hancock section of Sandy Hook. Mostly paved walkways with some short Sandy sections. We go to two observation decks to check out the sites.
Sunset is at 818 pm. Moon rise is at 8:14 P.M.

Memorial Day weekend starts fees to enter. However they usually stop collecting after 5 P.M. if you tell them at the entrance you are going to the mule barn they do not charge a fee

Please try to park in one of the lots or parking areas Near the mule barn ( across the street in the white church lot or the lot just south of the mule barn )

Do not park in the small lot near the outdoor eating area marked “ Parking for Residents only”
