This class has been a permanent event since pre-pandemic. I practice daily whether I have company or not. Therefore, this is a moment to join me.

Yoga should be a part of that new or existing lifestyle, to relax, to stretch, to create that sacred space. Make time and you are invited. In a non-yoga workout, we stretch to warmup and in yoga, we warm up to stretch. Therefore, stretch any time, not just post-workout.
Non yoga exercise is good – but it can make muscles tight. Proper stretching reduces injury risk, maintains mobility and range of movement. The more range of mobility we have, the bigger the movements we can make, the better our muscles perform and the more we burn calories.
Stretching improves circulation, blood flow in the body and keeps the blood oxygenated. Stretching combined with mindful breathing – using the breath coupled with the stretching help decrease anxiety. Stretching improves posture, joint mobility, calms the mind, helps prevent injury, loosens stiff joints and make muscles supple. Stretching helps release the fascia (connective tissue) which covers the muscles. We hold the postures for longer periods.
Any physical activity has chances of risk to injuries specially if not done properly. Please be aware of your limitations and do not cross your limits. But just like anything in life, “exceptional” does not happen practicing “occasionally”. Come join me and I will guide you. This is a donation-based class to sustain zoom subscription.
