FIGURE 8 HIKE is now Dee Why Beach to Manly Beach Bar. WHALES COMING NORTH TOO?

Gotta put Figure 8 Royal National Park Hike on hold. Sorry team. Plan B incoming due to the:
a) Rain. Will turn the Royal National Park into a mud bath for Sunday;
b) Muddy track means a slower hike… which means we’d prob miss the 315pm train and have to wait for the 515pm one – sitting at Otford Station for 1.5hrs spoils the day.

Let's do the "Bondi to Coogee of the North"!!!

Dee Why Beach Manly Beach to Shelly Beach (8kms). We meet in Dee Why Beach, then head past its stunning rockpool, up into the coastal headland looking for whales... descending onto Curl Curl Beach for a 20min beach walk (the Curl Curl Boardwalk is unforgettable)... to Freshwater Beach and Manly Beach - ocean views for every second of this walk that turns and weaves over to Shelly Beach, one of my favourite in Sydney. There's a 15min Nature Reserve we'll skip around, and we'll finish with a drink (order food if you fancy) at Shore Beach Club - a looooooovely rooftop joint with Manly Beach views.

If you've done Bondi to Coogee but have never done Dee Why to Manly? It's equally beautiful but with less people... one you should not miss, especially if we spot some whales.

The Logistics.
a) $10 PayID or Cash on the day.
b) Dee Why. B1 bus which starts at Wynyard Station is the best way to get there.
c) Manly Beach. Everybody knows how to get to and from!
d) For updates, look at Event Comments on the morning of just in case.
e) I'm on 0439 635 699. Message. Please don't call.
f) Be fit, healthy. This is a pretty easy hike with some ups / downs and rocky bits as we leave Dee Why - but otherwise safe as can be.
g) Please be on time (we hike at 915am - if you're late, use the map to catch up), please have a profile pic up, and if you RSVP "Yes" and ghost the hike? Well, this is our polite goodbye.
