ANZAC Day... a somber day to start yet also one of the best days of the year for a beer(s). Add 2UP. Add a gorgeous hike on the Sydney Coast when the whales have started to run early? YES. Let's do it.

PLEASE NOTE. The 930am ANZAC Day Hike might fill up (Felon's max hikers is 40 - reso can't be increased), so I'm creating this one so people don't miss out on the day - as you know I'm pretty bad at saying "NO, you can't come" so this is my way of saying "YES, but you just have to join the afternoon hike!"

THE DETAILS.
130pm, try to get to Felon's Manly. I'll already be there in the 2UP arena having a play. It's so fun if you've never been - bring some cash and place a bet or two. Have a beer, enjoy the waterviews, perving, and super fun day.... then...

2pm, we meet at Guzman y Gomez on Manly Wharf, and off we go...
Manly Beach, Manly Wormhole, Freshwater Beach, to the Boardwalk, Curl Curl Beach, Curl Curl Rockpool (perhaps my favourite in Sydney), then into Dee Why Headland where it's proper hiking with unforgettable views... Dee Why Beach and its rockpools are heavenly. This hike is 10/10 beautiful.

Shall we get a drink after? I'm open. Dee Why Hotel perhaps? See how we go....

IF YOU HIT ATTEND FOR THIS HIKE, JOIN OUR WHATSAPP GROUP HERE!!!

The hike is 10kms... safety wise, there are definitely some rocky bits Dee Why Headland and come out of the (optional) wormhole, but it's a pretty relaxed hike all in all. Be healthy, fun, and full of good energy.

See you then! MJ

Rules & Logistics.
a) Guzman y Gomez @ Manly Wharf is our meet spot. No doubt you know the way there.
b) $10 cash only for this one ($5 if you've done the first hike of the day and fancy doing the 2nd one) - you'll need cash for 2UP anyways.
c) Be on time. Be on time. Be on time...
d) Get in the WHATSAPP GROUP HERE - still amazes me how many people miss this - it's a must.
e) Let's have fun, but let's also be respectful and remember what ANZAC Day is all about and how lucky we are to live in amazing Australia.

Manly Cave... Dug up in 1908, the Queenscliff tunnel or the manly wormhole indeed feels like a passage through the unknown. Perhaps that’s why it is called a wormhole. The fishermen who dug it up sure had the best of the Queenscliff rocks and the freshwater beach region connected up easier than clambering up the rocks. On a sunny day, the wormhole towards freshwater offers the best-uninterrupted views of the blue sea.
