Brisk Water Front Hike Alexandria

Please note 6:00 start time!!

The Alexandria waterfront has been transformed in the last few years and is now hike-able for its entire length. It is now a lovely walk along the river and through Old Town.
Distance 6 miles
Duration: about 1.5 hours
Hikers: I like a brisk pace . 3.5 t 3.6 MPH.
This NOT a good hike for new or out of shape hikers.
If you are not a fast hiker you may be left behind.
If you cannot keep up with the group it is easy to turn around and head back to the starting point.

Trail is almost all paved or gravel.
When: Hike LEAVES at 6:00. Please arrive a few minutes early.
Where to Meet: Washington sailing marina. where we usually turn around. Google calls it Potomac Yard Marina
Parking. There is a large parking area.
Facilities: not sure
Dogs: No
Rain. I hike rain or shine-bring a raincoat of it looks like rain is a possibility.
Fees: NO entrance fee.
To Bring: Water. Smiles.
