Chantry Flat - Zion Trail maintenance

Meet near the intersection of Santa Anita Ave. and Arno Drive. This is a residential neighborhood so please be considerate. We will carpool and park in the staff lot at Chantry by the garage.

The plan is to clear fallen trees, clear brush and fix tread. We will do a 9 miles loop with about 2000' of gain going up the Upper Falls Trail and returning via Zion and Upper Winter Creek. You can do a shorter trip by working only on Upper Falls (4 miles, 600' gain).

Pants, long-sleeved shirt, good boots/hiking shoes are required. Hard hat, gloves and safety glasses can be provided. Please be sure to bring plenty of water and your lunch.
