Weather Note: If inclement weather looks imminent, please check this site 45 minutes prior to the start time.

Time: 9:00am (please be prompt because we will leave the parking lot by 9:05am)

Who Should Attend: Endurance hikers that are physically capable of hiking approximately 12 miles, and within the end time of this hike. I’ll be hiking at 2-2.5 mph, even on the uphills.

Hike Description: This is a strenuous hike, just when you think it is over...it is not. We will begin the hike by heading up the south side of the Piedra Lisa Trail and then head down the north side of it. Once we reach the end of the trail (Placitas side), we will have lunch/snack. Then we will turn around and hike back up and over. The hike will be approximately 1,800ft. of elevation gain TWICE = 3,600ft of elevation (basically like hiking up La Luz!)

Unplugged Hike: This means you are more than welcome to bring your cell phone, but it just needs to be on silent during the hike.

Items to Bring:

  1. Water
  2. Snacks/Lunch
  3. Layers of Clothing
