Old Folks Hike Piedra Lisa
Details
I would like to offer this hike for this coming Thursday.
With all the rain we've had, the trail should be much easier to navigate as there will not be any loose gravel.
As the parking lot is small, I like to have us meet at the lower parking lot which is just after the second cattle guard, and drive up together.
However, the road is unpaved and a little rough.
If you are game, let's give it a try.
We can always do part of La Luz if that doers not work.
Old Folks Hikes aren’t easy, but we don’t run up the mountain.
This is a good workout hike, we climb 1200’ in 2.1 miles, then come back down.
Should take about 3 hours.
Please have a picture of your face without sun glasses so that I can recognize you.
Bring food and water. Poles are very helpful.
Turn off Tramway at Forest Road 333.
Meeting at the lower parking lot, just after the second cattle guard.
you turn off Tramway at FR 333 and drive over two cattle guards. The lower parking lot is on the right, just after the second cattle guard. If you drive past La Cueva picnic area turn off you have gone too far.
