# Tunnel Canyon, West Ridge, and Birdhouse Ridge Trail Loop

This is a physically moderate hike through a juniper and piñon forest in the Cibola National Forest. This loop is 4.9 miles with 702 ft of elevation. Expect the hike to take 2.5 to 3.0 hours.

This is an intermediate level hike. The first half of the trail is uphill.

We will meet at the Smith's at Central and Tramway. See the location data below. We can carpool but it is expected that riders will chip in 2 dollars for gas.

We will be doing about a 6.4 mile hike through the embudo canyon up to post pass. and coming back on the embudo horse bypass. Embudo canyon has some mild rock scrambling.

Dogs must be on leash. In the past dogs have struggled with the scrambling in the early part of the hike.

Take Indian School east all the way to the very end and PARK in the lot downhill after the gate.
