THIS IS A SPECIAL OFFERING FROM TED H. TO ALL US REGULAR BURROS WHO HE KNOWS, A PARTY AT HIS HOME AFTER A HIKE IN HIS NEIGHBORHOOD IN EL RITO.

NEWCOMERS ARE ASKED NOT TO SIGN UP FOR THIS SPECIAL EVENT; SPACE IS LIMITED, SO I'M ASKING THAT ONLY HIKERS KNOWN TO TED SIGN UP FOR THIS ONE.

PLAN TO BRING A DISH TO SHARE, POT LUCK STYLE, WHICH WE WILL DROP OFF AT TED'S HOME IN EL RITO PRIOR TO HIKE (TED WILL PROVIDE CHICKEN SHISH KABOBS, WATER, SOFT DRINKS. BEER, WINE, SALADS, DESSERTS, VEGGIE SIDES WELCOME/REQUESTED). THEN TED WILL LEAD US ON A SHORT HIKE IN HIS AREA, & WE'LL RETURN FOR FRIVOLITY & FOOD TOGETHER AT HIS HOUSE AFTERWARDS.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND THE PARTY SEGMENT, BUT NOT THE HIKE, TED WELCOMES YOU, THE MORE THE MERRIER! JUST LET ME KNOW BY TEXT IF THIS IS THE CASE.

I WILL BRING DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO TED'S HOUSE TO DISTRIBUTE TO DRIVERS AT DEVARGAS SUNDAY MORNING. DRIVE TIME IS ABOUT 1 HOUR EACH WAY.

Hike is described as an overall easy, short loop trail, with one good climb towards the beginning. Expect 2- 2 1/2 hours of hiking.

Burro Hikes are for experienced hikers, most of our hikes are moderate in difficulty (by our standards), usually on designated trails, usually 4-6 miles in distance unless otherwise specified.

Non-aggressive, well-mannered dogs are welcome on all my hikes (unless otherwise specified, some locations prohibit dogs)

We meet at the DeVargas Mall, in the back lot, behind the stores; park in a lane near the bowling alley, but not right up against the mall wall. We carpool to all THs. Please offer your driver $7 to cover gas expense for this hike. We like to leave promptly so if you're running just a few minutes late, text me, & we'll wait up to 5 minutes for you.
