DESCRIPTION
Agua Sarca is located about 1.75 hours northeast of Santa Fe, near Sipapu Ski Area (note this is not theAgua Sarca near ABQ). It’s a longish drive, but most of it is on the scenic High Road to Taos or along the rushing Rio del Pueblo, so it’s a pleasant drive. The hike follows Agua Sarca, a small creek, gradually uphill thru mixed woodlands and meadows. There will be an assortment of wildflowers--the iris are especially great right now--and nice views along the way from the meadows. The trail flattens out near the end and we’ll head to a viewpoint from which we’ll see Jicarita and other peaks. We’ll return as we came.

What to bring:
Sturdy hiking boots or shoes.
Layers, extra clothing, and water resistant outer wear.
Water for a 4+ hour hike
Lunch and snacks

Dogs: Well-behaved dogs with no history of problems on group hikes are welcome, but must be on a leash at all times.

Meeting: We'll meet at DeVargas, behind Market Street but a little closer to the bowling alley. We'll leave promptly at the meet time. If you are running late contact me at 248-252-0708.

Cost: Non-drivers are to contribute $10 for gas.

Release. By attending, the Participant releases the Event Leaders from liability arising from the Event and assumes all risks of the Event, including: 1) injuries from falls, living things, pre-existing health conditions, vehicles, and weather, and 2) injuries resulting from the Event Leaders not undertaking the least risky option available (e.g., hiking a steep slope instead of a gentle slope) or not treating an injury in the optimal way (e.g., due to insufficient training). The preceding sentence supplements any other exculpatory arrangement to which the Participant is subject.
