Public Lands Rally

A proposed Senate bill, part of a larger reconciliation package, would make over 250 million acres of public land available for sale, including lands currently used for hiking, other recreation, and wildlife habitat. A 'We Love Public Lands Rally' will meet at DeVargas Park, providing a forum for folks to express their views on the bill and related matters.

While Santa Fe Hiking Meetup Group is not an organizer of the rally, as a group that regularly sponsors hikes on Federal land, the group and its members could be affected by the proposed sale of Federal lands in New Mexico. The rally represents a good opportunity to have your voice heard, as Interior Secretary Burgum will be in town that day.

Note, you can RSVP to this event if you want, but this is an informational notice only and SFHMUG will *not* monitor or manage anyone's attendance, participation, travel, etc. It's up to you!
