PICACHO MT HIKE FROM ST JOHN’S COLLEGE PARKING LOT

We meet on a parking lot near St John’s College at Camino Cruz Blanca! Then we walk to the Wilderness Gate for Atalaya and PICACHO trails.
Trail is 6 miles up and down, we can make it in 3 hours and come down before Sunset! This gorgeous hike was our favorite in older days, and now folks are looking for trails less traveled away from Santa Fe!
This time of a year is a perfect time to hike all trails, which start from the city! Some of them are challenging, some moderate, like this one!
Just be on time and don’t blow your RSVP!

Elevation gain is 1200 F
If you start walking from St John’s College it will be 6 miles roundtrip!
There are shortest routes from different places: we are going to explore them all this season!
