Hike Description: Rio en Medio is located up Hyde Park Road about 30 minutes from Santa Fe. We'll start at Norski and head toward Rio en Medio passing thru a mixed conifer forest which is home to fairy slipper orchids which may be in bloom. We'll then follow Rio en Medio downhill on a rugged, rocky path to a beautiful meadow loaded with iris and other wildflowers. After the meadow, we'll continue downhill along REM thru a conifer forest, eventually crossing REM and finishing up at an acequia in an Aspen Grove. We'll return as we came--mostly uphill.
