Welcome to Fit & Active.  We strive for fitness, fun, and friendships!

Meet other Fit and Active men & women.
We get together & enjoy…
Walking, Hiking, Kayaking, Cycling, Social gatherings, Picnic potluck BBQ's, X-country skiing, Skating, Lawn bowling, Pickle ball, Texas Hold’em poker, Concerts, Virtual online game, Tours, Dinner theatre, Group dinner at exquisite restaurant, Dancing with live band or whatever we enjoy doing “Under the Sun” to stay Fit and Active! Many of our events involve walking on trails in the city.

Once you join, you can attend all of the Fit & Active events.
These events are a great way to get out, meet people, and create adventures together!

We are looking for Organizers, If you’d like to host events or organize your own activity, please contact the main Organizer Tracy MacLeod! and I can add you as a new organizer on our team.

Picture
A clear & recognizable picture of yourself is required to join our group, a picture of your dog or you with your family & friends will be rejected

Dues and Fees
There’s a $5.00 annual fee collected from all members to help pay for this meet-up website with no additional cost to participate to all of our events.
You can join our meet-up group for 2 months. After two months of non-payment, members will be removed and accepted back only once their payment is received. 
Organizers are exempt from payments, however, if as an organizer you didn’t host any events in the past year will be removed from the organizer list.

Please pay your membership dues in cash to the main organizer Tracy MacLeod or by e-tranfer to: sanbcs@shaw,ca

To minimize error when sending your annual $5.00 membership, please make sure your e-transfer & member’s name match, if not, let me know I can identify you & add you as a paid member.

Fast Pacers Walk in Terwillegar Park Area

Terwillegar Park

Come and join us for a walk in and around the Terwillegar Park area. The length of the walk will be around 6 to 10 km depending on the weather and trail conditions. Please wear your traction devices as the trails can slippery.

We will start to gather around 9:15 am and we begin the walk promptly at 9:30 am.

We are taking off from Muttart Conservatory & walking the trails in Herietta Louise Edouards & Forest Heights park to Dawson bridge cross over to Riverdale's neighbourhood to the "Little Brick Cafe".
After our break we'll carry on to Louise Mcknney park cross the Low Level bridge & back to Muttart Conservatory

Afternoon walks in "Millcreek ravine" we will meet on the corner of
93 Street & 68 Avenue.
Average distance of 8km total.

Welcome to Wolf Willow 10 Km walk then lunch.

A beautiful Patricia Ravine has it charm in 4 seasons, with 200 steps going up stairs will get you heart pumps a bit more for a good Cardio workout, the River Loop Trails will let you see our Edmonton exclusive landscape, Wolf Willow Ravine loop to let you feel that we are in the wilderness (you may see a deer or two) 😊.

We hike on trails that include ice/mud, exposed roots, but not much in elevation (except the stairs), a reasonable level of fitness is required. We will take some water breaks , the most Important for this walk is a good spirit, fun and for the HEALTH of it 😊.

Please Bring: small backpack, water, wear a couple layers and sturdy warm footwear. Hiking shoes with micro-spikes, trekking poles (optional), gloves/mitts, hat, sunscreen and sunglasses that would be helpful in this weather. ( this walk will cancel at -20C with wind chill)

After you clicked “Attend” and you cannot make the walk, please remember to edit your RSVP to say “No” so that we are not waiting for you.

*There is only a washroom at the Fort Edmonton Park Gilt shop for you to used if need.
