Recurring Wednesday noon hike at PROVIN TRAILS

Provin Trails Park

Good place for a walk and talk in the woods. Natural trail surface with moderate difficulty. This is a popular dog walking park so bring Fido if you want. Terrain is 40% Hilly, 60% Moderate and 10% flat so you will have 110% terrain! Perimeter trail is .9miles (about 20 min) with many internal trails to explore as well. Number of loops depends on personal preference. Provin is just west of Robinettes on 4 mile. This is evolving into a great training loop. A hiking pole or poles are helpful. We meet in the parking lot at noon.

South Manitou Island - Spring

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE INFORMATION. Spring Trip to South Manitou Island. (Wildflowers) We will Backpack (no wheeled vehicles, carts or wagons) 1.5 miles to Weather Station Group Camp Site WG001.and WG002 This will be our base camp for day hikes throughout the Island. We are limited to 20 people /20tents. (Park rules) Camping for 2 days is $120.00 total. I have reserved & paid for this and will divide $120 / number of people. Well, water is NOT available at Weather Station camping area. A Vault Toilet is available at the group site. There is a separate $15.00 Entrance fee payable to the NPS at Park registration. Manitou Transit Ferry Departs Leland at 1:50PM Sharp. Plan to arrive by 9:15AM. Return trip departs the Island 11:30AM Sharp on Sunday June 11. Ferry Cost is $40.00 round trip per Adult. Please make your own Ferry reservations at [masked] reserve early and note their cancelation policy. We will be camping in a group camp site, however you are responsible for your own food and camping gear. Check out South Manitou Island on line. Many sites to visit on the Island. Terrain varies from dead flat to climbing Sand Dunes. And yes there is a beach to walk...
