About us
This is not a nature walk group. This group is for avid hikers. Hey, we all have a tent in the closet so let's make a weekend out of it. You do not have to be a camper but you do need to be able to hike 3 mph for 6 miles. If you do not camp, you can go on the hikes or just hangout at the campfire. It is all about the campfire. RVs and campers are welcome.
We will typical camp in Ohio, Ky and Indiana. Our favorite venues are group campsites. With the group sites there are little or no neighbors and have a lot more privacy.
This is an adult only group.
If you are a heavy drinker, you would not be a good this group. Most of our members are moderate drinkers or do not drink.
We have had issues with dog bites. 3 people have been bitten by dogs. If you dogs shows any signs of aggression, you will be asked to leave. Well behaved dogs can attend but must be on a leash at all times ( State Park rules ). A lot of dogs are fine at home but when they get to a State Park they get into get into protection mode. Some people get bite trying to break up fights between dogs. If you bring s dog you must sign a waiver agreeing to pay for all legal fees and damages that may occur at an event from your dog..
