5 Peaks along the PCT: Islip, Hawkins, Throop, Burnham, and Baden Powell

Trailhead: From the 210 freeway in La Canada, take the Angeles Crest Highway(2) for 39 miles to the intersection with the 39 freeway from Azusa (closed.)About a mile or so past the tunnels is a parking lot. Park at the PCT trail parking lot, and cross the highway south to the trail marker. (Lat: 34.35699 Lon: -117.8512)

Note: There might be some snow on this ridgeline hike along the PCT. The views are terrific, but you will need to bring microspikes and watch your step along the ridge. Depending on the snow level, we might have to bypass some of the peaks to conserve time and stay on the trail. This is a strenuous hike and you must be used to altitude and hiking at 8-9k for most of the trail.

There will be no sweep! This is an out and back hike.
