Zimmerman Trail / Headlands Beach (Swimming Optional!) / Pickle Bills

Details
NOTE: Earlier start time: While most of this groups events start at 1pm, I'm starting this one at 12:00 pm since it is more of an "all afternoon activity" (but please feel free to show up for any part you like, I'll post in the comments when we move).
This is an event I've been thinking about for a while! Let's first start by meeting up at the Zimmerman Trail. Afterwards, we'll head over to Mentor Headland's Beach where we have the option of swimming, walking along the beach (or some of the inland trails) or just relaxing on the beach. Finally, we'll head to Pickle Bills for some much needed refreshment and additional beach vibes!
Part 1 - Zimmerman Trail
The Zimmerman Trail Trail features both forest and beautiful marshy wetlands. This 3.9 mile trail has very little overall elevation gain (160 ft) so it is considered easy. As it is a wetlands, please bring mosquito repellant!
Park 2: Headlands Beach:
The second phase of this event will be at Mentor Headlands Beach State Park:
- For this portion of the event, we'll meet at the Buckeye Trail Northern Terminus (Closest Address (restroom within eyesight): 4 Coast Guard Rd, Mentor, OH 44060)
- I estimate we'll be arriving here around 1:30 to 1:45, but I'll post an update in the comments when we complete the Zimmerman Trail.
- We'll probably spend about 2 hours at Mentor Headland's Beach State Park
- My plan is to start by leading a quick 20 / 30 minute (~1 mile) hike along the Headlands Beach Trail
- From there, we'll walk back along the beach and find a spot to hang out at.
- I'll bring a Frisbee, Football, and cornhole boards for people who like to stay on the beach.
- I plan to bring a bathing suit myself and go swimming!
- For people who prefer to stay on land: Bring a beach towel and / or beach chairs. I'll also bring corn hole boards, Frisbees, a football, etc.
Part 3: Pickle Bills:
Pickle Bills (Address: 101 River St Grand River, OH 44045) is a large seafood / nautical themed restaurant which I would best describe as "delightfully eclectic". We're talking mannequins and mermaids hanging from the ceiling and Jimmy Buffet references in most directions that you look. It also has good food, plenty of outdoor seating (including a floating dock), and a roof top tiki bar. If you haven't been before, get ready!
