Cultural Gardens and Lakefront Nature Preserve / Goldhorn Brewery

Details
This urban hike is something I've had in the back of my mind for a while: Let's first hike down the Cleveland Cultural Gardens trail to Wade Lagoon (near Severance Hall and the Cleveland Art Museum). Then, let's head back the way we came and check out the Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve trail. In total, it should work out to be a moderate 8 miles, with fairly low elevation gain. Afterwards, we'll head to Goldhorn Brewery (1361 East 55th Street Cleveland, OH, 44103)
The Cleveland Cultural Gardens, located along MLK Boulevard between I90 and the Case Western Reserve Campus, consist of a number garden exhibits for various countries. These gardens typically blend a combination of landscaping and symbolic statues to represent a given country. While some country exhibits certainly do put in more effort than others, overall I think it is something worth seeing if you haven't already.
The Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve is really a unique hidden gem. What started out as landfill to contain excavated lake sediment was eventually abandoned and then reclaimed as a nature preserve about a decade ago. Today, its a temporary home to more than 280 species of migratory birds and provides a short but beautiful hike featuring woodlands and stunning views of the downtown.
Goldhorn Brewery has large indoor and outdoor spaces, a fairly small but good tap menu, and a great food menu as well.
