## What we’re about
The Green Miles Hike Group:
About Us
Welcome to The Green Miles Hike Group! We are a dedicated community for intermediate and experienced hikers who value both long walks and the restorative power of nature.
Our mission is to facilitate an active escape from urban life through long, scenic walks, connecting with nature.
What We Do
Long-Distance circular routes: Our walks typically range around 8-12 miles at a good, sustainable pace. If you enjoy achieving some mileage, while socialising and enjoying the surroundings this is the group for you.
Wellness Through Activity: Our hikes are designed to de-stress. We offer a social, supportive environment where you can connect with like-minded individuals, clear your head, and immerse yourself in the landscape.
Who Should Join?
This group is ideal for confident walkers who:
Are comfortable with long distances and varying terrain.
Able to maintain a good pace (5 mph).
Are seeking genuine, active escape and restorative time away from the city.
If you’re ready to trade urban noise for the serenity of the trail and find your own 'green miles,' we look forward to meeting you!
