Azalea and Flora lakes and a few ponds

Details
This is a very pretty hike at Donner Summit. Azalea and Flora are beautiful lakes nestled in the trees. There isn't too much elevation gain. It's about 4-5 miles out and back. It is a popular trail, so we want to head out early. Also there is a chance of thunderstorms, but the amount of rain is minimal. The trail is mostly shady and there are lots of places for the dogs to get in the water.
We will start hiking on the PCT near Boreal and take the Donner Summit trail south to a series of lakes and ponds. We will do an out and back and have lunch a private pond. We will go off trail to get to the pond, but it's short and easy.
DIRECTIONS: Take I 80 to exit 176. turn right at the end of the off ramp. When the road comes to a T, turn left. It is either Bunny Hill Dr. or Boreal Ridge Rd, depending on your map app. go to the end of the road. There is a loop parking area for the sno-park. There are vault toilets in the parking area.

We hike off leash as much as possible. We leash the dogs when needed for other dogs and some people. You must have voice control over your dog if you allow it off leash. You are responsible for any fines/repercussions for your dog being off leash. (We have never had an issue.)
Please arrive 15 minutes early to get your gear ready to hike. We will only wait 5 minutes for latecomers. If late, you will probably be able to catch up with us easily. We start out slow, picking up after pooping dogs and photographers taking photos.
Bring: A leash, poop bags, water and lunch for you and your dog, mosquito repellent and sunscreen.
RSVP: For the number of Dogs not people.
2 people & one dog = 1
2 dogs and one person = 2
